Dense fog with visibility near zero contributed to several deadly motor vehicle accidents. One man was killed when his vehicle drove into an overpass abutment. Another was thrown from the vehicle as it ran off the road and he drowned in the nearby lagoon. A pedestrian was run over and killed by a car. One man jumped over the highway guard rail to get out of the way of traffic after his vehicle had spun out,not realizing he was on a bridge, and fell 70 feet to the road surface below.
