Thunderstorm wind gusts estimated around 70 mph blew down large trees onto houses in and around Wright, with roof damage noted. Other roofs in the area had shingles peeled back by the wind.

Thunderstorm wind gusts estimated around 70 mph blew down large trees onto houses in and around Wright, with roof damage noted. Other roofs in the area had shingles peeled back by the wind. A storage shed was also destroyed near Wright, with clothing and household items scattered throughout a nearby field. A mobile home had an add-on room destroyed. The room was torn off of the back of the home and thrown into the front yard. A large metal farm building had many pieces of tin peeled or removed. Just north of Wright on Highway 256, a couple of large trees fell on the road with a power pole downed as well.
