Heavy showers associated with a trough of low pressure dumbed almost 2 inches of rainfall as recored at the airprt from 8 to 10 am Saturday morning. The heavy showers caused widespred flooding of low lying areas, small streams to over flow and numerous mud slides over western Tutuila.
