Flood in Alaska, October 6 to 9, 2000
Minor flooding occurred in Yakutat after nearly 5 inches of rain fell in less than 24 hours. Small streams flooded their banks and low-lying areas were covered with several inches of water.

Minor flooding occurred in Yakutat after nearly 5 inches of rain fell in less than 24 hours. Small streams flooded their banks and low-lying areas were covered with several inches of water. It took about 3 days for the flood waters to recede as another 2 1/2 inches of rain fell over the 7th and 8th.
