Ice Storm, Kuskokwim Delta

Freezing rain, ahead of a front associated with a strong Bering Sea storm, was reported around Bethel by the observer at the Weather Service Office. Indications were that freezing rain was also falling in other parts of the Kuskokwim Delta. The event lasted a little over 7 hours. Temperatures rose above freezing into the upper 30s in the afternoon. A coating of ice was reported on structures such as buildings and also on cars. Several vehicles sustained minor damage.
