Brisk northeast winds were reported at the Augustine C-Man site early Sunday. Wind gusts briefly reached 61 mph from the northeast just north of the arctic front. An incoming occluded front merged with the arctic front and passed the station just after 10 am Sunday. Winds switched back northeast briefly in mid afternoon, then back to southeast late in the evening.Winds at Sitkinak reached 59 mph several times between 9 and 11 pm Sunday just prior to frontal passage.
