Damaging Wind in Wisconsin, June 5, 1999
A thunderstorm complex moved across northwest Wisconsin and into north-central Wisconsin during the morning hours, resulting in severe weather in Eagle River (Vilas county). Thunderstorm winds, estimated at 80 mph, downed about 15 trees on the west side of Eagle River.

A thunderstorm complex moved across northwest Wisconsin and into north-central Wisconsin during the morning hours, resulting in severe weather in Eagle River (Vilas county). Thunderstorm winds, estimated at 80 mph, downed about 15 trees on the west side of Eagle River. The trees ranged from 18 to 24 inches in diameter and landed on homes, cars and power lines. About 400 to 500 customers lost power during the storm, mostly from trees falling on power lines.
