Thunderstorms on the evening of the 18th produced flash flooding.Heavy rainfall resulted in numerous streams and creeks flooding across Summers County blocking many roads. In Greenbrier County, Big Clear Creek flooded, washing out a road in Kessler. The firehouse and community building in Rupert was flooded. Numerous small streams and creeks were out of their banks in western Greenbrier County.In Mercer County, many streets in and around Bluefield were flooded.
