Severe thunderstorms moved across the Big Country during the evening hours of the 10th. A tornado briefly touched down north of Haskell but produced no damage. Hail up to the size of baseballs was reported in Westbrook, while minor roof damage was noted in Cross Plains.

Winds estimated at 70 mph blew through the town of Haskell. Most of the damage was to a local hardware store, where outside merchandise was scattered up to one half mile away. Tree limbs were also snapped throughout the community.
