Tornado, which began as waterspout over Galveston Bay, tracked across northern part of Texas City. Tornado struck Chateau Jonon Apartments at 2100 blk. of 25th Ave. north (near Loop 197 and Goddard Park), tearing roof off one building and damaging roofs on several others. Widespread trees and power lines also reported down in Texas City.
