Coordinates: 32.306, -100.921 (the zone’s center; the record gives no point)

Very heavy rainfall of up to 5 inches fell across parts of Scurry County on the 10th, causing the Colorado River across Mitchell County to climb out of its banks during the morning of the 11th. The river would crest at 12.0 feet on the evening of the 11th, about 3 feet above flood stage. Only minor flooding of low lying areas along the river was reported.
