Heavy rains associated with the remnants of Tropical Depression Dennis produced heavy rain and flooding across the northern half of Berks County during the early morning of the 7th. The worst flooding was reported along the Sacony Creek in Virginville.

Heavy rains associated with the remnants of Tropical Depression Dennis produced heavy rain and flooding across the northern half of Berks County during the early morning of the 7th. The worst flooding was reported along the Sacony Creek in Virginville. This was the second band of very heavy rain to affect the county within 48 hours. Storm totals included 3.20 inches in Virginville, 2.05 inches in Bernville, 1.80 inches in Gibralter and 1.55 inches in Reading. No serious injuries were reported.
