During the late evening of the 26th, lightning struck a house in Solebury Township. The strike caused the wiring within the house to smolder, but no additional damage occurred. Frequent lightning and heavy rain caused about 65,000 PECO Energy customers to lose power during the evening of the 26th in their southeast Pennsylvania service area. Hardest hit were Chester and Delaware Counties.
