Thunderstorms producing in excess of two inches of rain per hour moved across the county. Widespread street flooding occurred in Concord. Several streets were closed and approximately two dozen homes suffered damage from flooded basements. Water runoff from hillsides damaged a career center and also flooded a nearby gold course.
