Thunderstorms developing from north to south brought strong winds to eastern Choctaw County early on the evening of August 10. Near Apple, a residence had part of its roof blown off and a nearby shop had its entire roof blown off. Numerous trees were uprooted and blown down. East of Messer, power lines were blown down. Trees were blown down all the way to Fort Towson.
