Above normal rainfall across much of the Missouri River Basin above Brownville caused the Missouri River to flood mainly lowland areas much of June. At Brownville, where the flood stage is 32 feet, there were only a few days in this time period when the river was below 32 feet. Higher crests during the month included...34.96 feet at 900 am cst on 6/3/99, 34.8 feet in the afternoon of 6/6/99 and the highest of 37.02 feet at 845 am cst on 6/29/99. The last stage flooded the Riverview Marina causing evacuation of camping sites.
