Coordinates: 42.599, -97.252 (the zone’s center; the record gives no point)

Heavy rain which fell over much of Cedar county the previous two days caused extensive flooding along Bow Creek. This high water flooded the Cedar county fairgrounds in Hartington and high water along the West Bow Creek approached Bow Valley and Wynot by afternoon flowing over some gravel roads and forcing the sandbagging and evacuation of several homes.
