Above normal rainfall during June, and periodic heavy rain in early July, across southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa continued to cause minor lowland flooding along the Missouri River in the Brownville area through 7/12/99. This particular episode carried over from June of 1999 and reached a July crest of 36.46 feet on the first. Flood stage is 32 feet. Flooding was mainly contained to agricultural bottomlands.
