County emergency management officials reported major flash flooding due to extended heavy rains from thunderstorms. In Perry County, Saline Creek covered Route T, causing that road to be closed. The intersection of Highway 61 and Main Street in Perryville was also closed. In Bollinger County, the Castor River rose well out of its banks, topping two 20-foot bridges. In Wayne County, numerous roads were under water.
