The spring flood of the Red River caused the Sorlie (Demers) bridge to be closed, which is one link between Grand Forks and East Grand Forks. The River Road in East Grand Forks also had to be blocked off. The crest at East Grand Forks on the Red River was 44.3 feet on April 1st.
