A long tornado touched down in northern Acadia Parish. The most extensive damage occurred near the Richard community, where one house was nearly destroyed and another 6 received minor damage.A small airplane parked on the ground east of Iota was picked up and moved 100 yards. At least 20 homes and businesses received some form of damage along this path.
