The third heavy rain event of the month produced upwards of 2 inches of rain in and just south of the Kansas City metro area on April 26, and resulted in minor to moderate river flooding on the Missouri at Atchison and Leavenworth, Stranger Creek at Easton and Tonganoxie, the Delaware River near Muscotah, the Marais des Cygnes at Osawatomie, LaCygne, and Trading Post, and the Kansas River in Kansas City, KS. Flooding began on April 27, and ended at most of the affected sites on the 28th and 29th. Flooding at LaCygne and Trading Post continued into May.
