Wind-driven pea-sized hail damaged some fields of corn and soybeans. The hail covered the ground making itlook as if it had snowed. A machine shed was also destroyed by straight line winds estimated around 70 mph. The south side of a barn suffered damage while hail sheared the brome waterways so closely they appeared mown.

Very slow-moving thunderstorms dumped over 3 inches of rain over the city within 90 minutes. Cars were stranded when floodwaters cut off access to several roads.
