Persistent thunderstorm activity produced heavy rainfall, with estimates up to 2 inches per hour northwest of Fairfield. This rain fell on very moist ground, causing some runoff problems. A secondary road was closed near the Clay County line due to high water. Route 45 north of Cisne and Route 161 near Johnsonville also had water over them, but they were not closed.
