According to a newspaper account, thunderstorm winds blew the roofs off some cabins and damaged some mobile homes along the Rock River near Prophetstown. Thunderstorm winds also damaged Montmorency School south of Rock Falls, and downed trees and power lines, which blocked several roads throughout the county.
