Coordinates: 38.430, -88.426 (the zone’s center; the record gives no point)

Heavy rainfall on April 3 sent the Skillet Fork River out of its banks. At Wayne City, where flood stage is 15 feet, the river crested at 16.76 feet early on the 5th. The river jumped 8.5 feet at Wayne City from the 3rd to the 4th. The flooding was confined mainly to bottomland and surrounding low-lying areas.
