The damaging wind followed a path from near Fort Hall along the I-15 corridor, through Blackfoot to Shelley. Numerous trees, with diameters up to 30 inches, snapped causing damage to a few cars, houses and businesses. Power lines were downed causing some small fires and leaving thousands of residents without power for most of the day. Sporadic shingle damage occurred.
