Heavy snow fell in the higher elevations from the Sawtooth to the Big Hole Mountains. Accumulation of 6 to12 inches were reported above 7000 feet; while widespread accumulation of up to 3 inches were reported at lower elevations. The high property damage costs associated with this storm occurred when over a mile of 80' high transmission lines were knocked over from heavy snow and wind in Cassia county.
