Heavy showers caused by a Kona storm brought flooding to an area just west of the town of Hanalei and south of Hanalei Bay. 15 inches in a 15 minute period.

Heavy showers caused by a Kona storm brought flooding to an area just west of the town of Hanalei and south of Hanalei Bay. A gage near the area reported rainfall as great as 1.15 inches in a 15 minute period. However, the Hanalei Brodge remained open and the flooding caused only minor inconvenience for a short time. No injuries or significant damage were reported.
