There were occasional heavy showers over the windward areas and the west slopes of Haleakala. Heavy showers over higher sections of north slopes of Haleakala caused Kuhiwa Stream to overflow.

There were occasional heavy showers over the windward areas and the west slopes of Haleakala. Heavy showers over higher sections of north slopes of Haleakala caused Kuhiwa Stream to overflow. A person was swept in Kuhiwa Stream, due to heavy showers. The person was rescued by helicopter about 2:15 a.m. on March 21.
