Downbursts from a severe thunderstorm produced a considerable amount of wind damage. Trees were blown down on roads outside of Bowman, leading to Elberton.

Downbursts from a severe thunderstorm produced a considerable amount of wind damage. Trees were blown down on roads outside of Bowman, leading to Elberton. A few miles north of Elberton, a 2 ton utility building was blown into power lines and into a mobile home. Another home sustained roof damage and numerous trees in the same area had their tops torn off or were downed completely.
