Bermuda high pressure brought a southwest flow of hot and humid air to Connecticut during the July 4th holiday weekend. The high temperature of 99 degrees on July 5th at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks broke the previous record high for the date of 98 degrees, which was set in 1955.

The low temperature of 77 degrees set a new record high minimum temperature for the date. The previous record was 74 degrees which was set in 1919.
