An isolated severe thunderstorm in Windham County downed trees and power lines, and snapped utility poles, cutting power to about 2,000 customers. The Moosup section of Plainfield was hardest hit.

An isolated severe thunderstorm in Windham County downed trees and power lines, and snapped utility poles, cutting power to about 2,000 customers. The Moosup section of Plainfield was hardest hit. In nearby Sterling, thunderstorm winds toppled a tree into the roof of the post office.
