A lightning flash struck in the front yard of a house, traveled a wire fence to the front of the house, and onto the aluminum siding. A window was broken on the house, and two tires on a car were flattened. The solar energy system of the house was also damaged.
Heavy rainfall flooded Saguache Creek and its tributaries both north and south of highway 114. County roads and a few bridges were washed out. Property adjacent to the creeks was inundated, washing out driveways to ranch houses and destroying some hay fields.
