The Spring Incident (formerly known as the Sugarloaf Incident) was responsible for burning 900 acres from August 23rd through September 2nd. Three minor injuries and zero deaths were reported. This lightning caused incident contained two main fires which burned together. The fires destroyed a park for recreation vehicles as well as threatened timber and recreational trails. Fire suppression costs totalled $835,000 for the 11 day event.
