A vigorous front stalled out just south of Prince William Sound Tuesday morning, weakening rapidly Tuesday afternoon. Brisk east winds in advance of the front gusted to 61 mph at Middleton Island. Brisk east winds were also reported in the southeastern corner of Prince William Sound and across waters adjacent to the southeast coast of the Kenai Peninsula.
