Heavy rains moved into the Upper Susitna Valley late Thursday, associated with a stalled front across the area. Rain ended Friday.Reported rainfall amounts at the Talkeetna ASOS reached 1.95 inches for the 24 hour period ending at 10 am Friday...most of which fell in less than 12 hours. A flash flood watch was issued for streams and rivers east of the Parks Highway and in the Upper Susitna Basin early Friday, then cancelled late Friday afternoon. Reports indicated cottonwood trees flowing down Clear Creek Friday morning. Wiggle Creek was reported to be at bankfull.
