Rapid snowmelt during the end of March caused flooding along the Batten Kill in Bennington County. Widespread low land flooding occurred along route 313 near Arlington. The river crested at Arlington on April 1, with a reading of 6.35 feet. Flood stage at Arlington is 6 feet.
