Drought conditions continue from May. By the end of June, many locations across SE TX were 8-12 inches below normal in rainfall amounts since March. Agriculture losses continue to esculate as well has heat related medical conditions/deaths. Afternoon highs were regularly around the century mark with overnight lows only falling into the upper 70s to lower 80s. With little chance of significant rainfall anytime soon, drought-like conditions will continue into July.
