Flash Flooding in Texas, August 25 to 26, 1998
For the fourth night in a row, scattered showers and thunderstorms redeveloped by the late night and early morning hours. The rain began in eastern Val Verde County between Lake Amistad and Del Rio, then spread into western Kinney County and finally into southern Edwards County.

For the fourth night in a row, scattered showers and thunderstorms redeveloped by the late night and early morning hours. The rain began in eastern Val Verde County between Lake Amistad and Del Rio, then spread into western Kinney County and finally into southern Edwards County. General 1 to 2 inch totals were recorded, with the highest amounts near 3 inches near Del Rio. Flash flooding again redeveloped, ending in the early morning hours in Kinney and Edwards counties, but continuing into the mid morning in Val Verde County.
