A severe thunderstorm caused wind damage across Eastern Berks County from Bechtelsville through Colebrookdale Township into Boyertown. Numerous trees, limbs and wires were knocked down. In Colebrookdale Township, an office trailer was blown into a vehicle. About 34,100 homes and businesses throughout the county lost power; 4,000 of the outages were in Boyertown.
