Although the thunderstorms dissipated, the gust front the squall line created farther west in Pennsylvania moved through and downed several trees throughout Philadelphia. Downed trees blocked Lincoln Drive. PECO Energy reported about 185,000 customers lost power throughout their service area; 20,000 in Philadelphia. All power was restored by midday on Thursday July 2nd. The peak wind gusts were 54 mph at the Northeast Philadelphia Airport and 52 mph at Philadelphia International Airport.
