A squall line of severe thunderstorms produced scattered pockets of wind damage (fallen trees and wires) throughout Lehigh County. The winds were strong enough to overturn a tractor trailer on Interstate 78 in Allentown.

A squall line of severe thunderstorms produced scattered pockets of wind damage (fallen trees and wires) throughout Lehigh County. The winds were strong enough to overturn a tractor trailer on Interstate 78 in Allentown. A fallen tree also crushed a pickup truck in Allentown. Pennsylvania Power and Light reported that 45,000 homes and businesses in their service area across Northeast Pennsylvania lost power. Lehigh County was one of the hardest hit with about 8,700 outages.
