Heavy snow on the back side of a low pressure center over the Appalachians was enhanced by north winds off Lake Erie. The heaviest snow occurred during the morning and midday. Seven inches of snow was reported at Pierpont. More than 15 traffic accidents occurred, but only minor injuries were reported.
