River flooding occurred along the Tar River from Louisburg to Tarboro during February. The crests reached 2.0 feet above flood stage at Louisburg on the 19th, 2.0 feet above flood stage at Rocky Mount on the 9th, and nearly 7 feet above flood stage at Tarboro on the 9th. The gauge at Tarboro had several crests during the month including the 2nd, 9th, and 23rd.
