Low pressure over southern Canada and an associated cold front moving across New York State, produced a lone supercell during the afternoon hours in southern Saratoga county. The supercell then moved into northern Rensselaer county. The storm downed many trees in Mechanicville. One tree feel atop a car and produced minor head injuries to the driver and passengers of the vehicle. A roof was blown off a new modular home in Halfmoon. Thunderstorm wind damaged trees at Melrose in Rensselaer county. Quarter size hail was also noted in Mechanicville.
