A very slow moving thunderstorm dumped torrential rains across central and eastern sections of the county during the late afternoon and early evening hours. Several roads were closed due to high water conditions, including county route 5 and State route 414 in the town of Hector. Thunderstorms dissipated by late in the evening and water levels receded allowing roads to reopen after 900 pm EDT.
