Flooding in New York, April 1 to 2, 1998

Due to rapid snowmelt during the end of March, flooding continued along the Sacandaga River in Hamilton and Fulton Counties. The flooding was confined to low land areas along route 30. During the afternoon of April 1, the river at Hope crested at 7.57 feet. Flood stage at Hope is 7 feet.
