A thunderstorm formed over Alamo in northwest Socorro County yielding some unusually large hail for late September. The storm intensified even more as it moved into the unpopulated expanse of western Valencia County.

The storm intensified even more as it moved into the unpopulated expanse of western Valencia County. Radar provided estimates of 2 inch hail as it moved toward the southern Bernalillo County border and dissipated.
