Damaging Wind in New Jersey, June 30, 1998
A squall line of severe thunderstorms produced scattered pockets of wind damage (downed trees and wires) throughout Hunterdon County with the worst damage in western parts of the county in Alexandria, Frenchtown, Kingwood and Holland Townships and Milford Borough. New Jersey State Route 12 was closed because of downed trees along the Kingwood/Frenchtown border.

A squall line of severe thunderstorms produced scattered pockets of wind damage (downed trees and wires) throughout Hunterdon County with the worst damage in western parts of the county in Alexandria, Frenchtown, Kingwood and Holland Townships and Milford Borough. New Jersey State Route 12 was closed because of downed trees along the Kingwood/Frenchtown border. Downed power lines and a subsequent gas leak led to the closure of the northbound lanes of U.S. Route 202/New Jersey State Route 31 in Raritan Township.
